Many of us have had coaches throughout our career that have helped with various activities. I think my first coaching experience was with a career coach, who took me through a battery of assessments and conversations to help me figure out what I wanted to be in life. Then, I had a coach assigned to me when I started managing people. She worked with me during and after my management training, based upon the feedback submitted by my employees via a 360 feedback survey. I also worked with various executive coaches, hired by the companies I worked for, in both 1:1 and group situations. All of these interactions were beneficial and mainly driven by the direction the company or leader wanted to take us.
Personal Life Coaching is slightly different in the sense that it’s driven by you and what you want out of your career and your life. I do have structured teachings covering basic tools that are applicable to anyone who wants to achieve more, but the coaching sessions themselves are all about the application which means we get to cover anything in your life that you are struggling with. That may be everyday work challenges, job changes, issues with balancing work and family, a big decision you have to make or even power struggles – at home or at work. Anything that is taking time and energy from you, is fair game.
So many of my clients start the session by simply saying they have so much going on and just don’t have someone to help them make sense of it all that they can trust, outside of coaching. They need someone to hold them accountable to showing up as the leader they are aspiring to be, while working through what they are dealing with in the moment. When they are drowning in indecision or conflict, they need someone to hold their feet to the fire so they make a decision, while also instilling the belief that they are capable of anything they set their mind to. And when they continue to talk about what they want to do, but not act on it, they need a safe space where they can be called out for it.
You don’t just get 6-12 sessions and then move on. With my Coaching Package, you get 6 months of access. Every week, 30 minutes with me, so you always have someone to talk to, during the good weeks, and the bad. Email access for assistance on things that pop up in between sessions and training on the daily disciplines that increase your ability to coach yourself through any situation.
